Spoon Me A Lil (Lily) 2018

Spoon Me A Lil (Lily) is the last filly from our foundation broodmare, PEPPYSLILBITACLASS, who was an own daughter of PEPPY BADGER CHEX. Lily has grace and spunk. She is an elegant, low-headed mover and has the breeding and athleticism to make a fancy Ranch Riding horse, reiner, cowhorse, or even barrel horse like her sister, Coco. (See Sold Horses.)
Lily's sire, LIL SPOON (by HES A PEPTOSPOONFUL out of a daughter of SMART LITTLE LENA), was not shown due to an early bout of EPM, but has sired many winning offspring.
She is homozygous black, and 5-panel negative through parentage. Click here to see extended pedigree.

Boom in the Night (Belle) 2010

Rowdy, aka Mr Boomerchic is a 2018 gelding by Leitachic

Belle in 2016

Boom in the Night (we call her Belle) has some powerful breeding. She is by NIGHT DEPOSIT CHEX, who was considered the most versatile son of NRHA Hall of fame, $2 million sire, Nu Chex to Cash. Night Deposit Chex was the #2 leading money earner in the NRHA, NRCHA and NCHA, three-time World Champion, earner of 152.5 AQHA Points, over $118,000 in NRCHA, NCHA & NRHA, and 11 NRHA Lawson Bronzes. Belle's dam is out of a daughter of Boomernic (NRHA Hall of Fame Sire, NRHA $1 million sire, LTE $113,328).

Belle is one of those horses that just takes everything in stride, from dragging calves, to rugged trail terrain, to her debut at the Reno Snaffle Bit Futurity to any kinds of obstacles. She was later shown in club shows in California where she was a regular contender in non-sanctioned competitions. We purchased her to be a broodmare, but she was just so much fun to ride we didn't breed her until 2017. Her first foal is by LEITACHIC.
We are proud to have leased this fine mare to the Bower Ranch in Worland, Wyoming for 2020-22.

Rose is a sorrel filly by DP GunnaOutShinya.
Miss N Cash Jac (Jackie) represents some of the most powerful breeding stock we have acquired. Bred and raised by Black Rock Ranch of Harrison, Idaho, she is a producing daughter of Hall of Fame, $6 Million Sire, HOLLYWOOD DUN IT, out of a MISS N CASH daughter. Miss N Cash was an NCHA Derby champion.
Jackie is a proven producer and we are excited to have her in our program. Her first foal with us is the striking bay colt, Dash N For Chics, by LEITACHIC.
She is on lease to McBride Quarter Horses for 2020-21

Wiggys Little Step (Angie) 2006

Wiggys Little Step is an own daughter of the legendary NRHA Hall of Fame reiner, WIMPYS LITTLE STEP. He was the 2002 AQHA Congress Open Reining Futurity Champion, AND NRHA Futurity Open Champion (with the highest composite score in NRHA history!) He is also one of only three $11 Million Sires in the NRHA.
Angie's dam, Flash That Rock, was shown in the early '90s in Reno, Nevada, and at the AQHA World Show. Her sire, Docs Rock, was an NRCHA money earner, AQHA point earner, and placed 8th in the NRCHA World Champ. All-Around Open
Angie was bred and raised on the Williamsen Ranch in Fort Collins, Colorado, and came to use directly from them. She had produced very nice foals, for them, including NRBC nominated Rio Del Cielo and Paz Del Cielo (both by Gallo Del Cielo).

Alpha Holly Blu Boon is a daughter of HOLLYWOODSTINSELTOWN. And I admit it, I bought her sight unseen from an internet auction because she was GORGEOUS! Her color (I know, shame on me...) is dun roan.
Anyway, HTT (same sire as Gucci, under SOLD HORSES, btw) has a LTE over $186,000, is an NRHA $1 Million Sire, was a 2010 World Equestrian Games Team Gold Medalist, NRHA Open Derby Reserve Champion, NRBC Int. Open Champion and 2013 NRHA Open Futurity Reserve Champion. Not bad.
But Holly's dam, Flo N Blu Boon, has her own claims to fame. She has NRCHA LTE of +$67,000, and has earned her Supreme Reined Cow Horse. Granted, this solid reining sire x solid cow horse dam cross is unique, and exactly what we are striving for ourselves. So when we had the chance to snap her up, there was no doubt.
Holly's first foal by METALLIC MALICE is outstanding!
Chrystalena (Chrystal) 2013

Gallo del Cielo, known for stamping his get with beauty and athleticism.
Chrystalena is by PECAS OLENA, NRCHA earnings of $17,390.79, NRHA $591.64, AQHA World Championship Show $3,234.84, AQHA Superior Reining, 3 AQHA Top-ten World Show titles in Working Cowhorse with 39 Performance Wins, 101.0 Performance Points, 0.5 Halter Points, 1 All-Around Championship, 2 Reserve All Arounds. Her dam is by the legendary Rooster (Gallo Del Cielo) out of a Doc Tom Tucker daughter.
Chrystal had training in reining and on cows and spent several months working on a feedlot - call her working class royalty.
She is on lease to White Quarter Horses.

Rum N Reno (Rum) 1999 (Offering embryos)

Our darling baby lived five days. She had to be put down due to mustard weed poisoning - better known as hypothyroid dysmaturity, caused by mustard weed in the mother's feed during the third trimester. One crappy hay farmer cost her her life.
Rum N Reno is an own daughter of RUM SQUALL (by PEPPY SAN BADGER, NCHA Hall of Fame, leading all-time cutting horse sire). Her dam is a daughter of Dry San (whose earnings topped $91,000 as a cutter back when that was real money). Dry San was by Dry Doc (NCHA Hall of Fame), out of a daughter of Mr Gun Smoke (Hall of Fame, widely held to be one of the greatest broodmare and paternal sires of all time).
Rum was bred and raised on the Red Skelton Ranch. She is built to work and consistently out-produces herself with strong, pretty, good-minded foals, including an NRCHA earner and AQHA Performance Point earner.
Rum delivered us a striking ICEMAN DUNNIT filly in 2020!
*Not to be confused with Iceman Dun It, 2017 colt by SG Frozen Enterprize, thanks AQHA...

Mighty High Pistol (Pistol) 2008

Mighty High Pistol (Pistol) is a big, stout, mare with great bone and feet. She is built to work and moves well. She is by HIGH N COMMAND, a son of Continental Cad, out of Miss Mighty Chief, by REO MightyImpressive. A very kind, in-your-pocket kind of mare with the build and brains to produce versatile, good-looking, using horses. Pistol has given us strong sweet babies of her own, and given her great nature and sturdiness, she would also make a lovely recip mare. She just loves her babies!
Rain N Gold (Sunny) 2008

Rain N Gold (Sunny) has terrific substance and bone, standing about 15.1 and 1200 pounds. She is by HIGH N COMMAND (by Continental Cad) out of a daughter of Miss Mighty Chief and Le Rain Maker (a son of Tomichi). Sunny was injured during training so was never shown, but had exhibited promise as a reined cowhorse prospect. Even though her injury left her with a noticeable deviation in her right front, she has not shown lameness in the past several years and has very good movement. She covers ground elegantly for such a substantially built horse. She's not a real people lover, but is easy to work with, AI or live cover. Perfect ground manners, absolutely perfect mama - nursed two foals in 2021 - and a genuine asset to any breeding program.
Elegant Gangster (Stella) 2005

Elegant Gangster is by GANGSTER CHIC (by Smart Chic Olena, $13 million sire) a NRHA Futurity and Championship Show, Open Futurity Finalist, CRHA Derby Champion, and AQHA World Show Top 10 Junior Reining. She is out of a daughter of Skeeto (by Doc O’Lena), earner of $37,467 in the NCHA, COA, Bronze, Silver and NCHA offspring earners in excess of $268,000.

Stella is one of a kind! She is fearless, beautiful, and moves like hot butter melting over pancakes. Her first foal, Smart Trickochet (Blondie), moves like his dam and is absolutely eager to try anything you put in front of him, from trails to reining maneuvers to tricks. He qualified for the AQHA World Show in reining and ranch riding. Her second foal, Elegant Chic, is just as athletic and willing, cute as can be and a cow eater! Stella's last foal for us, A Vintage Gangster (See Horses for Sale) is by A Sparkling Vintage (LTE $82,000 NRHA $1 million sire) by Shining Spark (AQHA Champion, and leading reining and working cow horse sire).
Run Till Your Dun (Hailey) 2012

Run Till Your Dun is by Shine Like Hail, one of the top money earning sons of Shining Spark (World Champion & Leading NRCHA Sire). Shine Like Hail was the NRCHA World Championship Open Snaffle Bit Futurity Reserve Champion and River Front NRCHA Open Derby Co-Reserve Champion. He has LTE of $116,000, and has produced earners of over $536,500 in NRHA and NRCHA. Hailey's dam is Dun Its Black Gold (by Hollywood Dun It, NRHA Hall of Fame) an Open Futurity Finalist, with LTE of $12,194

2016
and 21.5 AQHA points. Dun Its Black Gold has produced offspring earning in excess of $320,500. Hailey is half-sister to HF Mobster (2013 NRHA Derby Champion, LTE $123,500) and full sister to Black Hails Gold (LTE $172, 411, NRHA Int. Open Futurity Champion.)
Hailey gave us three foals: 2016 colt, Hail of a Chic; 2017 colt, Runnin Outta Cash by Nu Steps to Cash, and 2018 colt, Awesomest Magnumus, by Lil Dreamin’ Magnum.
Trouble Lena Whiz (Lena) 2000
![IMG_7675[1]_edited-1.jpg](https://static.wixstatic.com/media/1086b7_48c3bae9f76e4068be666b9c848d852a~mv2_d_2850_3024_s_4_2.jpg/v1/crop/x_0,y_539,w_2850,h_2485/fill/w_344,h_300,al_c,q_80,usm_0.66_1.00_0.01,enc_auto/IMG_7675%5B1%5D_edited-1.jpg)

Trouble Lena Whiz is an own daughter of TOPSAIL WHIZ, the indisputable king of reining horse sires, and at present (2019) the NRHA's only $12 Million Sire. Her dam is by a son of Smart Little Lena and out of a Commander King daughter.
Lena was not shown, but is a tremendously sweet and pretty mare. She has produced NRHA earners of nearly $50,000.00 with over 50 AQHA Performance Points. This includes Level 4 Futurity Co-Champion at the 2015 Reining By the Bay, and winner of the WCRHA Year End Show in the Non Pro Futurity Class, Whizen Thru the Cash. Bred to another son of Smart Chic Olena before we acquired her, all four offspring from that cross are NRHA money earners.
Her 2020 LEITACHIC foal, This Chics Trouble, is outstanding!

Peppyslilbitaclass (Scooter) 1996 - 2019

2016

Coco Badger Chex by Yellow Roan of Texas out of Peppyslilbitaclass (by Peppy Badger Chex)
Peppyslilbitaclass was an own daughter of Peppy Badger Chex (by Peppy San Badger, NCHA Hall of Fame, leading all-time cutting horse sire). Her sire was two-time AQHA World Champion (first as a Junior Reining and then as Senior Working Cow Horse), and Multiple NRHA Bronze Open Champion. PBC is the sire of AQHA World Champions, NRHA & NRCHA Futurity and Derby Finalists and Champions, and a USET Semi-finals Champion. He was the #1 sire of NRHA horses sold from 1993 through 1999.
Her dam is by a son of Major Bonanza, a leading halter horse (winning 73 out of 79 halter classes) turned reiner, working cow horse, (high-point working cow horse stallion and reserve high-point working cow horse), then cutter and even western pleasure and hunter under saddle, out of a daughter of Little Town (AQHA Champion, Supreme Champion, ROM Performance & ROM Race). So let's just say "Scooter" is well-bred! She passes on tremendous athletic ability and mind to her foals, along with her elegant, good looks.
We lost Scooter June 8, 2019, following two weeks at a veterinary school hospital. She went in with what we thought was operable colic that had progressed to reflux - shortly before her foal was due. Vet staff tried to treat the colic medically, but after a few days operated and found a twisted colon. The medical intervention had had no chance of success. Days later she delivered a foal with dystocia/malpresentation. Afterward, she seemed to improve but suddenly went toxic. A second surgery revealed her body was riddled with infection; we made the decision to let her go while she was still on the operating table. Autopsy discovered a uterine tear had occurred during delivery and had become infected.
She was such a stoic, grand mare - she didn't present with classic signs of colic, so even the vet school was slow to realize her dire condition. Scooter survived long enough to give life to the foal she carried - Peppys Lil Spoon.
Her barn name was Scooter, but I called her My Empress. She is deeply missed.

Extra Chexetta, photo by Marcy Stewart McBride

2016 filly By Dun It OK photo by Marcy Stewart McBride Proudly sold to Shining C Grullo Horses in Wolfe City, Texas
Extra Chexetta is by EXTRA DRY CHEX who was shown only in 1997. In that one year he earned 19.5 AQHA points, his ROM in reining, won the West Coast Reining Futurity Novice Horse, placed 3rd at the West Coast Reining Horse Futurity in Open Reining, was the AQHA Reserve World Champion Senior Reining Horse and earned NRHA money. He was a phenomenon!
“Charro” was a stout, good-natured, mare with excellent bone, feet and joints. We had looked forward to babies with her character. Her first foal by LEITACHIC was a buckskin colt in 2018. Sadly, she was never to produce another. She was found dead in her pasture, and by all appearances had simply laid down and gone to sleep.
